Prescribed Fire Class in Yankton, SD

This is an introductory 3 hours of instruction that will address the principles, planning, ignition, and safe mop-up and monitoring of a prescribed fire.

This class is for anyone with an interest in prescribed fire including the public, producers pasturing livestock, volunteer fire departments, or anyone with an interest in grassland ecosystems. Southeast Dakota Prescribed Fire members and potential future members are especially encouraged to attend.

• March 20: In Yankton, SD at the Yankton Fire Dept. Station 2 (201 W 23rd St.) from 6:00 – 9:00 PM
• March 25: In Roscoe, SD at the Roscoe Fire Hall (208 Mitchell St.) from 6:00 – 9:00 PM
• March 26: In Mitchell, SD at Blarneys Sports Bar (2100 Highland Way) from 6:00 – 9:00 PM
