South Dakota Grasslands Summit
The South Dakota Grassland Summit, hosted by the South Dakota Grasslands Initiative, is a pivotal event that brings together stakeholders, experts, and enthusiasts to delve into the intricate world of grasslands. Scheduled for March 18th and 19th in Oacoma, South Dakota, this summit promises to be an enlightening experience for all those passionate about preserving and understanding our natural ecosystems.
The summit will offer educational opportunities in agricultural production, ag finance, wildlife, community health and natural resources. Attendees will be able to participate in shaping the future of South Dakota’s grassland image.
The March 18 speakers will address the status of South Dakota’s grasslands in relation to ecology, economics, market forces, and social value. March 19 will build on ideas shared on the first day with large group conversations looking at finding collaborative solutions to the challenges the grasslands face.
